Product Review: 1000 Roses Color + Correct from Andalou Naturals

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Color + Correct Indigo and CanaryIf there’s one Korean beauty product I love most, it’s got to be CC cream. This beautiful little number does everything a BB cream or beauty balm does, but adds complexion-enhancing color correction. It’s essentially a foundation plus moisturizer in one. So if, like me, your skin isn’t quite ready to face the world with just a bit of moisturizer, and you need a little help to get your skin tone balanced and even (and maybe even cover a few blemishes), then a CC cream is your new best friend.

That’s why I could barely contain myself when I spotted Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Color + Correct on the shelf at Earth Fare, one of my favorite health food stores.

What makes 1000 Roses Color + Correct CC moisturizer by Andalou Naturals worth a try?

I’ve been a fan of Andalou Naturals since I tried their Citrus Kombucha Cleansing Gel, and I’ve tried several other products since. Everything I originally loved about their products — the powerful fruit stem cells, yummy ingredients, and luxe feel of their stuff — remains true. But what really excites me about this product (aside from the fact that it smells like the freshest bouquet of roses you’ve ever encountered) is that it’s a combination of all the things you could possibly want in a moisturizer plus just about everything you could want in a foundation.

  • No nanoparticles
  • Sensitive-skin formula with a protective/acne-zapping combo of hyaluronic acid, magnolia bark, boswellia serata (anti-inflammatory), and date leaf
  • SPF 30

Coverage is on the modest side, so if you’re looking for a full-coverage foundation, this might not be the perfect choice for you. (I hit up any blemishes with a few taps of my favorite concealer.)

Hydration, UVB/UVA protection, and complexion-enhancing, plus evens skin tone? Yes, please

But the main event, so to speak, is all the lovely rose in this product: rosewater, rose essential oil, plus rosehip oil (probably my all-time favorite skincare ingredient), which gives it great healing properties, but also makes it smell amazing. There is no other word for this, people. It. Smells. Fan. Tastic. Of course, there are more ingredients, including organic aloe juice, pomegranate oil, melon extract, and white tea.

Finally … I love the mattifying effect of this CC cream. This stuff does not make your face a greasy mess. I even tested it on a seriously humid Southern summer day, and I was impressed with its performance.

Thanks for this post, really informative! Always good to find out new products that are made using natural products, especially great that this provides coverage :) It can be so hard finding foundation replacements. Ruby http://www.rooandco.co.uk/
