It’s taking me a while to get adjusted to the fact that 2012 is really here, but I have some big plans. First up, a new email newsletter! I’m not planning to launch it for a few weeks yet, but if you’re interested in the newsletter-only goodies I have planned, you can go ahead and sign up here. Here are the products I’m loving this month:
- Florere Deodorant Cream. I raved about this stuff a little while ago and I’m still loving it. My mom and sister both took it for a whirl while I was in Pittsburgh over the holidays, and I think they were both impressed.
- Hydrea London FSC Certified Classic Long Handle Body Brush. This was a Christmas present from my Aunt Jackie (thank you!). I’d been meaning to try the dry brushing technique I’ve been reading so much about, and so far I’m liking it but it’s too soon to tell much of a difference aside from feeling really invigorated. More on this brush (and the technique) soon…
- Broo Shampoo & Conditioner. I just discovered this craft beer body care and shampoo line (it’s straight from Asheville, one of my hometowns), and so far I really like it. It’s not cheap, but the shampoo is so foamy that I really only need a tiny amount, and it’s super moisturizing. Look for a full review of this little hoppy duo soon!
- 100% Pure Red Wine Resveratrol Eye Cream. I bought this at Ecolicious when I bought the Florere Deodorant Cream. With my (genetic) dark undereye circles, I’m always on the hunt for a new eye cream to try, and I really think the price is affordable for a quality eye cream, especially for such a large container. Plus, in addition to resveratrol (the age-defying substance in red wine grapes), it has hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and tons of antioxidants.

So you’ve been using the deodorant for a few weeks, and it’s still working? No stinkiness, no sweatiness? I tried an all-natural deodorant a month ago and stunk the first day, so if you say this stuff is still working great a few weeks in, I’ll try it out!
Well, here’s the thing: I can’t say it keeps me completely dry. It’s not an antiperspirant, so if you tend to sweat a lot, you may not love this stuff quite as much as I do. But a little perspiration doesn’t bother me, and I haven’t had any issues with stinkiness, even after running through an airport to catch my connecting flight. My sister sweats a little more than me and it didn’t keep her completely dry, but she didn’t feel stinky, either. Hope this helps! —Aleigh
That does help! I’m much more worried about stinkiness than wetness, so I’ll go ahead and try it out. Thanks so much for responding!
Of course! I live for comments and questions.

Products I’m loving right now. Sorry for the long list, but I’m a product junkie!
Acure Shampoo & Conditioner
SkinnySkinny Foot Scrub & their soaps and their new cleanser
Acure Body Cream
Patyka Body Oil – gives such a pretty sheen & it’s slimy feeling
RMS beauty lipbalm in Bloom
RMS Living Luminizer
Dr. Hauschka Volume Mascara
Dr. Bronner’s Shaving Cream in Peppermint
Kahina Argan Oil & their eye cream
Great list, Katie! I’ve been hearing great things about the Acure hair products but haven’t had a chance to try them yet. Have you tried other natural mascaras? The one from 100% Pure is next on my list… —Aleigh
I meant that the Patyka is NOT slimy! Anyway, the 100% pure one was VERY smudgy on me by midday. I gave it away. The Couleur Caramel mascara is also great, but the Dr. Hauschka is the best! I could chat about this stuff all day…sad, but true!
Ooh, good to know. I’m no fan of smudgy mascara. Love talking natural beauty with you any time! –Aleigh
