Remembering that your hard work is what lets you have fun (like going backpacking in Colorado) is another great way to perk yourself up when you're tired or sad.
I’m tired today, and my favorite pick-me-up technique when I’m feeling blue or sluggish is to dress cuter than I feel. Wear a favorite, flattering outfit, spend extra time on my makeup…somehow if I can find the energy to put in a little effort it seems to get my day headed in the right direction.
So. Since I’m feeling a bit worn out from a long week of deadlines and work events and change-is-coming sleepless nights, I thought I’d scour my favorite blogs for some good news to share for a change. Here’s what I found.
- Perfect timing once again from No More Dirty Looks: Here’s a post on good (and bad) ways to manage stress for those nights when you just can’t seem to fall asleep.
- Sarah at Whoorl got a new Vitamix blender and created this yummy smoothie. Can’t wait to try it!
- Crunchy Betty shared a few healing recipes—toss out that tube of stuff you put on your scrapes and cuts and try these instead.
- I absolutely love this guest post over at Fig+Sage from Jolene Hart about the beauty-wellness connection. It reminds me of the guest post I wrote over at Rosie Molinary’s blog months ago, and it’s SO TRUE.
