I mentioned my growing obsession with Revolution Organics Lip Gloss in August, when they held a place of honor in the sidebar, but I wanted to share a little bit more about exactly why I love this stuff (and Revolution Organics in general). One look at their products and you’ll never be able to think of organic makeup as ho-hum. From the chic, sleek packaging to the rich, bright colors, this isn’t your grandmother’s makeup—but I’m pretty sure she’ll love it as much as you will.
First impressions: This is makeup with personality: the packaging is beautiful, the makeup feels luxurious and each product has all of the feel-good ingredients you expect in organic makeup. Their skin care line is USDA certified organic, which means they are at least 95% certified organic.
What caught me by surprise: These products are true multi-taskers. I used the Beauty Balm on cheeks and lips (the bronzed shade in particular is great for a little flush that doesn’t look like it came from a tanning bed); the All-Over Skin Crème was popped straight into my purse and was handy for midday applications; and the Lip Gloss easily doubles as blush in a pinch.
Bonus: I have to say it again: I love this Lip Gloss in every shade. I‘ve been wearing the deep red Liberty shade, and every single time I get compliments—from the cashier at the grocery store, to co-workers, to random people I don’t even know. When a lip gloss is fantastic enough to make people stop you on the street, you know you’ve found something amazing.

Honey Month Tip: Give your hair a sweet deep conditioning treatment. Mix 1/2 cups pure honey with 3 tablespoons olive oil until combined. Massage into (dirty) dry or wet hair and cover with a shower cap (or just pull up into a clip to keep it off your neck). Let the mixture soak into your hair for 20 to 30 minutes, then wash and style as usual.
