Beauty Obsession: Clarisonic Mia

I’d coveted this little beauty gadget for months (it seemed like everyone was raving about it), so when I was surprised with a Clarisonic Mia as a gift* last year, I couldn’t wait to test it out.

Clarisonic Mia Cleansing System, $149

Now that I’ve been using my Mia for nearly eight months, I’m a full-on Clarisonic evangelical. I don’t think I’d go so far as to say that my Clarisonic has changed my life…but this little gadget’s sonic cleansing technology really has left my skin clearer, softer and smoother.

I use it every day in the shower, and now my sometimes troubled skin has had much fewer breakouts and my pores are smaller. If I’m traveling and forget to bring it along, I’m reminded of what my skin was like before I started using it…and ugh, let’s just say if my Clarisonic died tomorrow I’d be buying a replacement immediately.

I also love that I can change out the brush heads–there’s a brush for sensitive skin, normal skin, delicate skin and now there’s even a deep pore brush head, which I’m planning to test drive next. Plus, I can use my Clarisonic with any cleanser I choose (as long as it’s not abrasive), and it lasts for weeks on a single charge.

Have you added the Clarisonic Mia to your beauty routine? Does it work for you?

*Shout out to my mom for such an awesome present. Thanks, Mom!

I’m late to the game on commenting on this, but the Mia is going to be my next beauty purchase. I can’t wait to try it.

There’s no such thing as a late comment. :)

I really can’t say enough (obviously) about my love affair with my Clarisonic…would love to know what you think of yours when you get it!

This truly is an incredible little device. I’ve had mine for almost 2 months now, and my skin is REMARKABLY different (smoother, clearer, smaller pores, less dry/oily). Right now I use Acure Organics gel cleanser with it, but I was wondering if there were any you would recommend?

Glad to meet another Clarisonic evangelist, Lucy! I like Acure Organics products, too, but if you’re looking for something different, you might try this foaming cleanser from Hollybeth’s Natural Luxury (http://www.hollybeth.net/hollybeth_cleanse_crp.html) or this cleanser by Pangea Organics (http://www.spiritbeautylounge.com/pangea-organics-calendula-blood-orange-facial-cleanser.html). If you’re feeling splurge-y, this cleanser from Tata Harper sounds lovely, although I haven’t tried it yet: http://www.spiritbeautylounge.com/tata-harper-refreshing-cleanser.html.

          Hope this helps!
